Dear brothers and sisters,
God’s love and His power to save us from hell are central to the message of the Bible. From the very beginning, God’s plan has been to rescue humanity from the consequences of sin. His love is so profound that He provided a way for us to escape eternal separation from Him.
In the story of creation, we see that God made everything good, including man and woman. However, sin entered the world through disobedience, and with sin came death and separation from God. This separation is what we often refer to as hell, a place devoid of God’s presence and goodness.
But God, in His infinite mercy, did not abandon us to our fate. He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to bridge the gap between us and Him. Jesus lived a sinless life, died on the cross, and rose again, defeating death and sin. Through His sacrifice, Jesus provides a way for us to be reconciled with God and saved from the eternal consequences of our sins.
Consider the parable of the lost sheep, where the shepherd leaves ninety-nine sheep to find the one that is lost. This parable illustrates God’s relentless pursuit of each one of us. He does not want anyone to perish but desires everyone to come to repentance and be saved.
Additionally, the thief on the cross next to Jesus experienced this salvation firsthand. Despite his past, when he acknowledged Jesus and asked to be remembered, Jesus assured him that he would be with Him in paradise. This moment powerfully demonstrates that no matter how far we have strayed, salvation is available to us if we turn to Jesus in faith.
Dear friends, God’s promise of salvation is not just for a select few but for all who believe in Jesus Christ. It is a gift that we receive by faith, not by our works. This assurance should fill our hearts with hope and gratitude, knowing that our eternal destiny is secure in Christ.
If you have not yet accepted this gift, I urge you to open your heart to Jesus today. Confess your sins, believe in His sacrifice, and invite Him into your life. By doing so, you will experience the peace and joy that comes from knowing you are saved from hell and have eternal life with God.
