Nothing happens without His knowledge, permission, or command. He reigns over the universe with wisdom, power, and love.
As we delve into this divine truth, let us remember that God’s sovereignty is evident throughout the Bible. From the creation of the world to the fulfillment of His promises, we see His hand guiding and sustaining everything. For example, consider the story of Joseph. Sold into slavery by his brothers, Joseph endured many trials. Yet, through it all, God was at work. What seemed like a series of unfortunate events was actually God’s plan to save many lives during a famine. Joseph himself recognized this when he told his brothers, “You meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.”
Another powerful example is the life of Job. Despite losing everything, Job remained faithful because he trusted in God’s sovereignty. He understood that God is in control even in our suffering. Job’s story teaches us that God’s purposes are higher than our understanding. It reminds us to trust Him even when we cannot see the bigger picture.
